Welcome to our Website

South Coast Model Railway Club was formed in 2006 by a small group of railway modellers led by Steve Matanle who felt there was a need for premises to house permanently erected layouts in larger scales which, until then, had to be erected to use and dismantled afterwards. A modern secure industrial building was sourced in New Milton, and from humble beginnings layouts were developed in Gauge 1, O gauge, OO gauge, N gauge and 16mm. Membership of the club now stands at 55, all benefiting from access to the club premises 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A friendly, casual atmosphere prevails with certain groups meeting on particular days as well as occasions when all members get together. We often get together to car share visits to railway events such as exhibitions and visits to preserved railways as well as spotting trips. Members often help each other with advice and assistance with modelling tasks and we are on good terms with other railway clubs locally. So if you are considering joining a club then come over and have a look at us, you are sure to be met with a warm welcome.
